Locust Grove Restoration is located in a small hamlet along the Susquehanna River, south of Harrisburg, the Capitol city of Pennsylvania. We are also five miles south of Three Mile Island. Our specialty is restoration of European motorcycles that predate 1975. We do consider restoring later models that still are of older design (as examples: Triumph T140 and early Japanese and American models).
We have working knowledge of veteran, vintage and classic two and fourstroke motorcycle design. All work is done in house except for plating and specialized machining. We do tank repairs, wheel building, painting, striping, polishing and engine assembly. When the bike is completed, it is test ridden and set up to run on today's gasoline. Due to the variety of models and makes of motorcycles that we restore, we find it impossible to stock parts for sale. Time is spent sourcing our own parts and what we can't find, we build. We have ongoing restorations of our own to familiarize ourselves with other designs which are out of the ordinary. These bikes help comprise our display of restored bikes. Restorations are done in a timely manner with billing done monthly for time and parts needed for that period. We accept bikes in any condition for restoration, including basket cases. Our interest is restoration to original, though we will build to your liking and specifications. We do not source core bikes or sell our examples in our show area.
